Senior left-hander Jeff Schank struck out four while allowing four hits to lead Naperville Central to a 7-0 victory over West Aurora Wednesday in a Class 4A Naperville Central Regional semifinal.
Hampshire scored all four of its runs in the fourth inning of Wednesday's Class 3A Burling Central Regional semifinal. Hampshire downed Wheaton Academy 4-1 to advance.

The IHSA on Wednesday released its new Football Acclimatization Policy, which will govern how often and how long teams can work out at the start of the preseason, along with what equipment they can wear. The concept is to protect the players, but it doesn't come without some contradictions.

The Public League has shifted its premier event, the boys basketball tournament, all over the city the last few years. With a potential brand-new arena near McCormick Place, the Public League might finally have a place to call home.

Bradley recruit Jaelen Hull hurled a no-hitter to improve to 24-0 as host Bishop McNamara defeated Wilmington 11-0 Wednesday in a Class 2A sectional semifinal.
Third-seeded Waubonsie Valley scored on three of its first five shots and rolled to a 4-0 victory over No. 2 seed Plainfield North Wednesday in the Class 3A Bolingbrook Sectional semifinals.
