The star

Senior quarterback John Peltz completed 12 of 20 passes for 228 yards and two scores, while also grabbing a one-yard touchdown reception from junior Clayton Thorson.

The moment

With the game scoreless late in the first quarter, Thorson took over at quarterback and proceeded to lead the Falcons down the field on nine plays, traveling 53 yards, for a touchdown — the game’s only scoring in the first half. Thorson completed all five of his passes on the drive, which ended with the touchdown pass to Peltz.
