Halfback Arnold Shead carried 28 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns, scoring in the first half from eight yards out and in the third quarter on a two-yard plunge.

After Wauconda closed to 20-14 with seven minutes left, North Chicago recovered an onside kick and drove 51 yards in 11 plays for the clinching score. Quarterback Javairius Amos-Mays (5-for-11, 68 yards; 15 carries, 20 yards, two touchdowns) scored on fourth down from the 1 with 2:08 left.
