What’s the toughest part about playing both ways?
The conditioning. It’s really tough. But once you develop a love for the game it becomes easy.

Which side of the ball do you prefer playing?
Defense. I love hitting.

What’s in your iPod?
Mostly rap. Chief Keef, 2 Chainz and Future.

Given the chance, what person, dead or alive, would you most like to meet? Why?
My great-grandfather, Nick Photsios. I was named after him. He passed away when I was 1.

You’re stranded on a deserted island. You can have an endless supply of one food. What would it be?
Chicken. Any kind, but my favorite is from Shark’s.

State title game. You’re in it. Which team do you want to beat in the championship? Why?
Joliet Catholic. They’re always one of the best schools in the region. Everybody thinks they’re the best and blowing them up. It would be great to beat them.

Ten years from now, when you’re talking about coach Barry Reade, what’s the first thing that will come to mind?
How he loves to run the ball down teams’ throats. But he also taught me how to be more of a leader. I didn’t think I was ready to be a leader, but he showed me that I was.

If you could have your pick, what celebrity would you choose as your prom date?
Meagan Good.
