The star

Lyons linebacker Patrick Kelley picked off Marist quarterback Ian Woodworth twice while defensive back Matthew Harris returned a Woodworth interception 50 yards for a score early in the second quarter. Lyons (6-4) held a 27-14 halftime lead.

The moment

After Marist scored its second fourth quarter touchdown to cut its deficit to six points at 34-28, Lyons’ Matt Mrazek recovered an onside kick at midfield with less than two minutes to go in the fourth.

The breakdown

Lyons intercepted Ian Woodworth three times, including one that Harris returned 50 yards for a touchdown. Woodworth (32-of-54, 396 yards) threw a fourth quarter touchdown to Flynn Nagel, and Jordan Burger punched in a touchdown from one-yard out, but Marist (8-2) was unable to recover two onside kick attempts.
