Tyler Usterbowski, a 5-foot-9, 180-pound senior, was part of a three-headed monster in the backfield for Oak Forest. Not only does he put his 4.52/40-yard speed to work on the gridiron, he also runs track, competing in the 100- and 200-yard dashes and 400 and 800 relays.
What’s the best advice your parents gave you?
To never underestimate anyone.
What’s in your iPod?
Mostly rap and Hip-hop. Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and Drake.
Given the chance, what person, dead or alive, would you most like to meet?
Brian Urlacher. He’s always been one of my favorite players, and he does so much for the community.
How disappointing was it to lose to Lemont on Saturday in the Class 6A quarterfinals, ending your season and high school career?
It killed me. I’m still feeling it now. I don’t even know what happened.
What will you remember most about your high school career?
My team. They’re like my family.
Ten years from now, when you’re talking about coach Brian McDonough, what’s the first thing that will come to mind?
His dancing. Every time we finish practice, he breaks out in a dance. It’s funny.
What do you do better than anybody?
Focus.
If you could have your pick, what celebrity would you choose as your prom date?
Megan Fox.
State title game. You’re in it. What team would you most like to beat for the championship? Why?
Lemont. We always go head to head, full-out against each other. It would be great to have a different outcome.
