SOUTHWEST SUBURBAN RED

Outlook: In terms of depth, Lincoln-Way North has the deepest team with forwards Daryle Morgan and Cody Murphy leading the way. But Andrew may have the best player in the league in Jubril Adekoya and Thornton should not be overlooked.

Top five players: Jubril Adekoya, Andrew, C/F, Sr.; Sean Dwyer, Stagg, G/F, Sr.; Daryle Morgan, Lincoln-Way North, F, Sr.; Cody Murphy, Lincoln-Way North, F, Sr.; Justin Taylor, Thornton, F, Jr.

Did you know? Stagg’s players have been playing wheelchair basketball at the Shriners Children’s Hospital for nine years as part of their community service goals.

Quote: “We open our season against Lincoln-Way East, North and Central. I have coached under all three of those head coaches at some point. How many first-year coaches have to open their coaching career against back-to-back-to-back mentors?” — Lincoln Way West coach Jon White.

Predicted finish: Lincoln-Way North, Thornton, Andrew, Thornwood, Stagg, Bradley, Thornridge, Lincoln-Way West.
