STAR: Josh Meier led the way for Richards (6-6, 2-3) in the South Suburban crossover win with 21 points, 12 rebounds and two power dunks. Juozas Balciunas of Lemont (13-2, 4-1) was the game’s leading scorer with 25 points, but had just two in the second half.
MOMENT: With 1:51 remaining in the first half, Lemont’s Ed Masiulionis drained one from beyond the arc while being fouled. Masiulionas made the free throw to complete a four-point play.

BREAKDOWN: Lemont dominated early on the boards, and achieved separation by the end of the first half via seven three-pointers. Cortez Harper (20 points) and Spencer Tears (16 points) finally awakened a quiet Bulldogs offense, combining for 16 third-quarter points as the Bulldogs came back from a 15-point deficit.
