In the 18th meeting between the teams, the Crusaders (14-2, 5-1 Catholic South) won for the first time since 2004, breaking a five-game winning streak by the Spartans (9-8, 2-3). The Crusaders raced to a 14-3 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Ray Rubino had two of his three three-pointers in the first quarter. Eddie Miles had 14 points and Shaquon Alexander added 13 to lead the Spartans. Hales starters Devin Denson and E’mon Frison were not in uniform.
