Neuqua Valley senior guard Jabari Sandifer saved his best for last in Wednesday’s 61-46 Class 4A regional semifinal win over host Oswego East. The Western Illinois recruit scored 19 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to lead the Wildcats to the victory.
They will meet the winner of Wednesday’s other semifinal between District 203 sister schools Waubonsie Valley and Metea Valley.
Oswego East was led by CJ Vaughan’s 11 points, but the Wolves leading scorer had a miserable night shooting from the floor, making just 3-of-15 shots while being hounded by Brad Mikulecky.
Darien Miskel had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats (27-2).
