Westmont junior Tim Doll came from behind to win his 400 heat Thursday in the IHSA Class 1A boys track preliminaries at Eastern Illinois University, while Mooseheart's Wal Khat qualified in the 800 and 1,600.
After flying under the radar while containing a model of consistency for its program, Parker will play in the Class 1A state semifinals on Friday with hopes of obtaining the school's first state championship.
Hoffman Estates used six consecutive hits to score four runs in the top of the sixth inning and upset Batavia 5-4 in a Class 4A Bartlett Regional semifinal Thursday.
