Brandon Salter ran for 224 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries to help Downers Grove North defeated previously unbeaten Batavia 38-26 Friday night in a Class 7A first-round playoff game. The Trojans built an 18-point lead and held on to snare the road victory.
Hinsdale Central quarterback Brian Owens threw for 247 yards and three touchdown passes and defense stops Trojans' two-point conversion for the 21-20 victory in Downers Grove.
