Two years ago Scott Wong was a freshman who had never done gymnastics. Now a junior, Wong has become one of the best pommel horse gymnasts in the area and looks to improve on last year's 38th place finish at the state finals.

New Trier’s Steven Cook scored 30 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead his team to a 65-42 win over Niles North at the Class 4A Glenbrook North Sectional final Friday night.

Frank Dounis and John Solari both fought through injuries to lead No. 17 Maine South to a 64-61 double-overtime win over No. 13 Niles North in Wednesday’s CSL championship game.
Niles North senior point guard Malachi Nix scored 18 of his career-high 44 points in the fourth quarter to power the Vikings to a scintillating 84-80 victory Sunday over Morton in the Conference Challenge Classic at Gordon Tech.
Niles North (355 points) won its third consecutive Central Suburban League North boys swimming title on Saturday. Deerfield was second (249) followed by Glenbrook North (202), Highland Park (169), Maine West (163) and Maine East (119).
