Host Plainfield North continued its blazing hot start Thursday with a dominating performance against a shorthanded Minooka squad, rolling to a 4-0 win in a Southwest Prairie opener.
Minooka held off surprising Eisenhower to finish the Plainfield North Invite as champions. The Indians were led by Matt Svetlecich with 12 kills and three aces.
Jacob Hogen became the first player in Minooka history to reach the 1,000-point landmark on Monday. Hogen netted 18 points in the Indians 65-50 victory over Plainfield Central in a Class 4A regional quarterfinal at Thornwood.
