T.F. South captured five titles en route to top honors at the 12-team badminton Lockport Tournament on Saturday and continue to cruise like a top contender in the state.
Romeoville won its first regional title since 1989 55-52 over Plainfield East Friday night. They won behind stellar performances from Kiera Currie and Brianna Harris, who combined for the winning free throws.
Plainfield East scored the first nine points of the third quarter and went on to outscore West Aurora 27-10 in the quarter to turn a nice lead into a full-on 62-34 rout.
