West Aurora four-peats at Kane County invite

West Aurora junior standout Emma Spagnola accounted for 36 team points with three individual wins and a third-place finish in the high jump to lead the Blackhawks to the team title of the Kane County invite for the fourth straight year with 131 points.

  • West Aurora season’s ended at the hands of Proviso East for the second year in a row at Tuesday’s Class 4A Hinsdale Central Supersectional. The Blackhawks finished the season 24-7 and will return leading-scorer Jontrel Walker for the 2013-2014 campaign.

  • Paris Lee scored a team-best 18 points to lead Proviso East to a 62-52 victory over West Aurora for a Class 4A supersectional title at Hinsdale Central. The win sets up a rematch of last season’s Class 4A title game in which the Pirates fell to Simeon.
