Simeon became just the second team in Illinois history to win four consecutive state boys basketball titles as it defeated Stevenson 58-40 Saturday in the Class 4A final at Carver Arena in Peoria. Jabari Parker led the way with 20 points.

Sophomore Jalen Brunson scored a team-high 21 points, and Andy Stempel added 14 as Stevenson knocked off Edwardsville 60-49 in a Class 4A state semifinal Friday at Carver Arena in Peoria. Up next for the Patriots, a finals date with Simeon.
Connor Cashaw scored a team-high 22 points and Jalen Brunson added 20 to guide Stevenson to a 73-67 Class 4A supersectional victory over Rockford Boylan at Northern Illinois on Tuesday.
Despite jeers from the St. Viator student section, Stevenson’s Jalen Brunson showed the Lions who’s best, scoring a game-high 24 points as the Patriots prevailed 76-58 on Friday night.
Emmanual January came off the bench to score 13 points, grab 10 rebounds and spark the Warhawks' 21-4 second-quarter run in a 65-46 Class 4A sectional title victory over Carmel at Antioch on Friday.
Ore Arogundade scored 18 points and recorded the game-winning block to seal a 65-62 victory over Zion-Benton in a Class 4A sectional semifinal at Waukegan on Thursday.
JaVairius Amos-Mays led North Chicago with 23 points and Jamero Shelton added 13 in the Warhawks' 86-52 Class 3A sectional semifinal victory over Uplift at Antioch on Wednesday.
North Chicago, Waukegan, Round Lake, Antioch and New Trier participated in a round-robin competition that honored the memory of one of this area’s legendary referees.
